Scimitar Oryx hunting

Texas is home to more Scimitar Horned Oryx then any else on the planet. The propagation story behind these species is quite remarkable considering almost being extinct in their home countries in northern Africa. While you can't hunt them there, you dang sure can here! Ahrens Ranch & Wildlife has some fantastic Free Range Oryx hunting in various locations around west Texas. This is no high fence in sight and not any goat/net wire. These creatures are truly free ranging. 

Our Oryx hunts typically take place in either Shafter or Alpine, Texas and are 3.5 days in length, 4 nights lodging, meals, guide, game care, and one Scimitar Oryx. Most can expect bull horn lengths to range from 33"-39" with some taken over 40" and cows to range from 34"-41". The quality of meat from an Oryx is almost unmatched and also adds to the trophy and alure of this animal.
