Calan, is the founder and leader of Ahrens Ranch & Wildlife, a diversified ranching operation specializing in premium cattle production, exotic wildlife management, and client-focused hunting experiences. With a deep respect for the land and a disciplined approach to ranch management, Calan blends traditional ranching values with modern conservation and business practices.
He is known for hands-on leadership, responsible wildlife stewardship, and building long-term value for landowners and clients. Calan remains focused on growing Ahrens Ranch & Wildlife while preserving a lasting ranching legacy rooted in integrity, sustainability, and performance.
Calan is a member of many professional organizations to include Texas Southwestern Cattle Raisers, Salt Water Fisheries Association, CCA, Safari Club International, Exotic Wildlife Association (he currently serves on the Board of Directors and as second vice president for EWA), and Trophy Game Records of the World (he currently serves on the board of directors and president for TGR).

She has a background with the military, nursing home/elderly care, and is currently finishing up college courses to get a degree in Business Administration. Calan and Brittany married on April 22nd, 2023, and have four wonderful children together.

Kiley, born and raised in Alpine, Texas, pursued his education at Sul Ross State University after high school. His equestrian journey began when he trained horses for esteemed ranches like the King Ranch in Kingsville, Texas and Parker Ranch on the Big Island of Hawaii. Before embarking on his ranch management career, Kiley honed his cowboy skills by working for various ranches in the Alpine, Marfa, and Fort Davis area. His expertise extended to overseeing cattle, horse, and wildlife operations across four ranches in Texas and New Mexico.
Kiley has joined the ranks of AR&W to oversee and manage all of our West Texas area operations related to cattle and wildlife.

Originally from Huntsville, Texas, and now based in Gonzales, Matt’s deep-rooted background and hands-on approach make him a strong addition to our operations.

Originally from Huntsville, Texas, and now based in Gonzales, Matt’s deep-rooted background and hands-on approach make him a strong addition to our operations. He has already immersed himself into our hunting operations over the last three years as a guide and has become a major factor in our successful operations since his arrival.
We’re excited to have Matt on board full-time as he helps lead hunting operations, maintain our ranch facilities, and continue delivering first-class experiences for our clients.
